The Society for Acute Medicine's 2025 Spring Conference will take place on 8-9 May 2025 at Hinxton Hall Conference Centre, Cambridgeshire. 

In-person places at the conference have now sold out and we welcome you to register as a Virtual Attendee.

Virtual attendees are able to watch ALL sessions online, both live and on demand, for 4 months following the conference. The conference virtual platform also offers the opportunity to message and network with other attendees.

12 External CPD Points approved with the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom (Event code: 150689).  The Federation of the Royal College of Physicians has also approved archived access SAMontheCAM for an additional 8 external CPD points for 4 weeks after the event. Application for approval beyond 4 weeks, is currently in progress.

Abstract submission for SAMontheCAM is now closed: Results were sent to all authors on 20 March

SAM invite authors to submit an abstract for display at SAMontheCAM in the online ePoster showcase and as a full sized poster at the event. A selection of the best abstracts may also be invited to take part in an oral presentation on the main conference programme or as a 2-minute "lightning presentation" of your poster in the conference breaks.

SAM are offering the Presenting Author (1 per poster) a 35% discount on delegate fees if attending SAMontheCAM for 2-days in-person or as a virtual attendee. This discount will not be applied to 1-day attendance fees as we encourage poster presenters to attend for the full conference.

The ePoster showcase will be live for 1 year after the conference dates to extend the life and reach of your poster. Abstract Submissions are invited from all members of the multi professional team.

SAMontheCAM includes our annual POCUS cases session, where we are aiming to showcase the utility of point of care ultrasound within Acute Medicine. If you have an anonymised case (with good quality images) that you’d like to present, please consider applying now!

SAM Ultrasound Course, Wednesday 7 May, Hinxton Hall

Cost: £50 SAM Members | £150 non-SAM members | SOLD OUT

This course is aimed at providing the foundations for the 3 core FAMUS modules: thoracic, abdominal/renal and DVT/peripheral vascular access. Attendees must have completed the FAMUS e-LFH module. Online lecture access will be provided ahead of the course.

*Please note the course is 1/2 day and will run twice on the 7th of May. Approximate timings are: morning session from 0930-1315hrs and afternoon session from 1400-1745hrs. Select your preferred session on registration.
